God, I love a 'list' song. This is only *partly* a list song... but six months after recording it, I still find myself murmuring "Lon Cheney! Bela Lugosi..!!" to myself over the washing-up. To my shame, I think I've only actually seen two Sam Peckinpah films... but he seemed a decent enough metaphor for the things I felt I needed to say. If I had to write it again, I'd go for someone else, though... all those P's in 'Peckinpah' - you need a better microphone technique than mine to do him justice in all his plosive glory.

Oh - and finally (honest) - there *was* going to be an overt homage to The Knack in the intro - a 'Salome' version of 'My Sharona' - but eventually it was ditched in the interests of 'good taste'. Hey-ho.
